Christie Torrington studied painting and drawing at UNSW Art & Design, graduating with Honours (Class 1) in 2003. She was awarded the 2001 Ultimo Studio Project residency, the 2002 UNSW Students Association Arts Prize, the 2003 William Fletcher Trust Grant & the Hunters Hill Art Prize Viewers’ Choice Award in 2004. Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally and was recently acquired by the Gippsland Regional Gallery (Victoria) permanent collection.
