Melita Rowston

Melita is a writer, director, painter and performer. She holds a Masters in Creative Writing (UTS) a Graduate Diploma of Dramatic Art in Directing (NIDA) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (VCA) among other qualifications. Melita held her first solo exhibition ‘Hours of fun for all the family’ at The George Paton Gallery – Melbourne University in 1995. After painting sets for a university theatre production, she fell in love with theatre. Her first exhibition since 1997 was the group show ‘Modern Nostalgia’ at Tortuga Studios, St Peters in 2018, and she was recently part of LITTLE FLUFFY CLOUDS with Christie Torrington, Rebecca Chislett and Phanida Kovalevsky.
