The City of Sydney’s START Studio Art Fest is being run as part of 2010’s Art and About. It’s aim is to foster a greater appreciation and understanding of what goes into the making of a work of art, the personality and the story behind the work, encouraging a dialogue between the artist and the public, erasing the divide between the two. It seeks to create recognition of various mediums and drive a much-needed increase in demand. START Fest offers a rare opportunity to penetrate the magical world of an artist’s studio in which visitors of all ages will be able to see the starting point of the creative journey. www.thesydneyfringe.com.au
